You might think that hiring the services of a search engine optimization specialist may cost you a fortune. It may be the other way around. This is because you can handle the SEO thing all by yourself. You just have to remember 10 vital SEO commandments.
1. Link relevant sites to your site. This is to boost your search engine ranking. Take note - only relevant sites.
2. Create content-rich information. Your content, to reiterate, must be original and fresh.
3. Submit you website to online directories. Be sure to submit your site to Yahoo, About.com, Open Directory Project and other prime online directories.
4. Remember the rules on keyword, metas and their placement.
5. Build a neighborhood of related sites. multiply, that is.
6. Beware of irrelevant keywords.
7. Avoid unrelated links.
8. Stay away from 'link farms' (sites with doorway pages)
9. Do not 'keyword stuff' your metas.
10. Evade 'free for all' link pages because they are low in relevancy.
