It doesn't necessarily mean that you actually alter techniques as proven methodologies haven't changed for more than a decade now. But perhaps, you may entertain changes in the formatting, keywords, allocation, and more.
Shari Thurow, an SEO enthusiast, has listed her own epiphanies:
1. Use the Users' Language. If you want visitors to find you, make it easy for them.
2. Search Is Not a Linear, Singular Behavior
In an ideal world, searchers would:
a. Type keywords in a search engine (querying behavior).
b. Scan and read search engine results pages (SERP) for most desired information.
c. Click a link.
d. Land on a page containing desired information.
e. Purchase.
3. Understanding the Search Experience
The bottom line is top SEO rankings are nothing compared to fulfilled user experience. It will only pay off for a moment but user's experience is paramount.
