Big Daddy update timeline

Big Daddy update timeline

I was doing my usual monitoring of top websites about SEO and I found this entry from matt cutt's blog about the timeline of Big daddy Indexing.

At first I just thought it was just "the timeline" of the big daddy update and saying what happened on this date and this date but when I read the whole entry, there were some very very cheesy information about the crawlers reaction to certain type of links.

Matt explained some examples like a real estate site which used to have 10k pages indexed and now it was down to 80. The culprit, he found links going out to totally non "real estate" related sites such as mortgages sites, credit card sites, and exercise equipment.

He also tackled some very important information about doing affiliate links.

The quality of links has never been so important today. It could mean lesser pages indexed, or lower search engine ranking.
