To start, page rank measures the popularity of a website in search engines. It is dependent on both inbound and outbound links. PageRank, on one hand, should not be mistaken with page rank because the former is a family of algorithms devised by Google to measure not only the links to a website but the quality of said links. PageRank measures page rank on a scale of 0 to 10. Google uses criteria to gauge the popularity of a website. Said criteria include contents, web structure, keywords, longevity of the site, and page views.
Page views, also known as page impression, measures the number of times users request a page. Generally, homepages get greater page views than inner pages. This is the reason why online marketers are placing essential ads like banners on the homepage.
Page views are solely dependent on keywords. It is deemed a component of PR. Moreover, if the page view is low, PR is also low. In addition, PR depends on links which are considered as votes. These votes are technically dubbed as page views.
