by noel on November 4, 2006

Let's reverse the perspective - how about if you are the webmaster or website owner and you want your site to make it to the top search engine optimization search engine placement? Of course you aim to land on the first page - but how?
By and large, search engines do both amazing and mysterious performance. Some are just left awestruck and lost in its mystery. Nevertheless, you need to know to get the most out of search engine rankings.
Unfortunately, when searchers enter the search word, the former cannot ask follow up questions. They simply look for contents that will match the queries. Moreover, you have to make your content the most relevant to come first on the list.
How do search engines measure relevancy when in fact, there are hundreds of millions web pages?
The potent spice is algorithm, which is kept as a trade secret. However, search engines do follow some general rules. First rule is to establish good location. Metas, in this case, are pretty much crucial. Also, headline and the first few sentences of the content must be optimized. Further, never ever do spamming, for search engines abhor it.
There is also the so-called offpage web search engine optimization, which include the clickthrough measurement factor and the quality links factor. You can check these factors by using link analysis tools available online.
