Get More Comments On Your Blog

Aside from measuring web traffic, one way of measuring how well your blog is reaching netizens as well as the number of visits per day are comments. Count the number of comments on your posts (minus the spams of course). That will determine quality interaction.
If you are not satisfied with the number of comments on your weblog, find the ways to attract them. Here are some tips to gain those comments:
Ask
Ask for comments. At the end of your post, you can ask your readers to share their opinion or knowledge about the subject matter. Simply, you need to turn over the floor to make them speak their mind.
Respond
Let your readers know you listen to them. If someone leaves a comment on your entry, find time to respond. Answer his query. Ask if need be. Also, simple words of gratitude would be enough. If you want more comments on your blog, be sure to respond to the ones you do get.
Reward them
Rewards can take all sorts of forms. You may opt to give the most frequent commentators a link. That way you will generate more comments.
Do the Baiting
Analyze your blog and other weblogs as well. Which entry generates more comments? Try to make entries with similar approach or topic. Most of the time controversy sells. So touch that nerve!
Make them
Remember the ethic of reciprocity? Well, if you want some comments on your blog, try to comment on other sites as well. There's no turning back, let your fingers do the thing! Start now.
