Google Earth Increased its resolution

google earth has increased its index of high-resolution satellite imagery. Now we can see the earth in much greater detail.
I tried Google Earth a few months back and it was very nice. Now it is even better. Better images of tourist spots and famous landmarks. In fact, Google earth is also being used for travel/holiday marketing. Check out adventurecompany.co.uk.
The Google Maps API has become popular because it can be used to create composite, or mash-up, applications that combine data sets, such as real estate prices, with maps. A site that tracks such mash-ups, The Programmable Web, lists 481 map mash-ups made with map APIs from Google, Microsoft, and Yahoo. Google has identified some 30,000 Web sites that host map mash-ups.
I believe with the Google Maps API, we'll be seeing more and more clever applications built around this technology.

Fascinating stuff. Amazing to see how Google Earth and its Maps API is now being used by the travel industry. It’s something we as a tour operator need to look into. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.
