Google loves the iPhone
Filed in archive Search Engine News by Arun Radhakrishnan on January 14, 2008
Google;s love for the iPhone will be on display at the Macworld event 2008. And for all the right reasons. Consider the statistics for the just completed new year and Christmas time.

The quote from Google Operating System

"on Christmas, traffic to Google from iPhones surged, surpassing incoming traffic from any other type of mobile device (...). A few days later, iPhone traffic to Google fell below that of devices powered by the Nokia-backed Symbian operating system but remained higher than traffic from any other type of cellphone."

And also, with the release of Android, Google is more than willing to partner with what it sees as the pioneers of UI on the mobile front.

Perhaps for Google, the iPhone is the way to perceive how the world will come to use the Web. The intuitive interface does make browsing a breeze.

Look forward to more innovations from Google on this front.
