Google's 'Patent Search' Feature
Google has earlier launched its new Patent Search. Through said new feature, one could manage to do whatever is normally catered by any US patent search website. This time around, the convenient experience is delivered by quicker and more reliable results using Google's interface.

To boot, a patent is a set of exclusive rights given by a particular state to a patentee. This set of rights is only available to the latter for a fixed period. in order to get patent rights, one divulge certain information regarding a product, method, process, device, invention, etc. The right acts to preclude others from using, making, selling, importing said patent.

'Patent' originates from 'patere' - a Latin word which means "to lay open." Today, registered patents provide a limited property right in exchange of the certain details. Patents can be assigned, transferred, sold, mortgaged, licensed or abandoned. Patents are usually secured by businesses. Licensing is resorted to protect exclusivity and fair competition.
