Basically, the reason behind their misery is their failure to know how to tickle the fetish of search engines. The fact is that search engines are picky. They are only friendly to sites that offer what they need - nothing less, nothing more. If that is the case, you might ask - What do they hate? What do they like?
Search engines do not like websites:
1. that contain overwhelming links and ads to other irrelevant websites.
2. that lack real content. This is because search engines want fresh, germane and original content.
3. that do not have incoming website links. Most of the major search engines that we have today evaluate the site's popularity through incoming links. Hence, if you are lacking in this aspect, expect your ranking to suffer.
