Bad SEO could be considered a waste of money. Quality SEO is by all means the most cost effective form of online advertising.

First, just let me say that not all SEO consultants out there are scam artists – there are many reputable firms in the business. However, anyone promising “guaranteed top results”, “submission to 500 000 search engines and directories”, “instant results”, or “permanent top positions” is most likely a scammer. There is no way anyone can guarantee that your site is the number one result unless they actually control the search engine results, or if the top ranking is for a word or phrase that only exists on your site, of course.

Bad SEO is not SEO! True SEO can get you to the top of a search (organic ranking) for your keywords. This can save a great deal of money in PayPerClick, and if you don’t use that, it will save you ad money. Given more space I could give readers many reasons why good SEO can breathe new life into your business.

I tell you, I used to think it was the only way to go. Was never a fan of PPC.
But we’ve been burned a few times now and the companies that clearly look reputable are getting upwards of 100K
For that type of money Im not sure if its cost effective really anymore

In my experience, any webmaster has lot of things to do before SEO.
Quality contents and easy accessibility to the site I think is key factor for any site popularity. People “Organically” create traffic if you have a quality contents (useful for people).More visit mean more search. Then a little bit modification in keywords can draw more attention of search engines.

I have found that like many things in life if you use/buy a quality SEO it is more then worth it. Then again if you just use garbage SEO services your money could be spent somewhere else much more efficiently.

Like any service, the quality will vary with the integrity of the firm. However, if you have an internet based business, or need to reach a customers that use the web for product research, SEO is essential.

yes,you are correct up to an extent.there is a lot of scam going in seo. lots and lots of companies are mushrooming providing seo services.But seo is not totally scam.there are certain guarantees which are false like
number one placement is false as no one can guarantee that,
permanent top placement is 100% false for any decent keyword as Google algorithms continuously change and there will always be up down in rankings,
However first page placement is possible if the seo has good resources.

I feel very bad when all SEOs are tainited in black because of a few scam artists. We would have to agree that SEO is one of the industries which is still not regularized.

To an extent SEO might look like a waste of money but if you measure the long term impact on the return of investment, by far SEO does provide the best investment, over PPC or any other internet marketing.
