Joel Comm's 500words project

Here's another one of those milliondollarhomepage marketing types. This one if from a well known Adsense personality by the name of Joel links

Comm.

About a month or so before, I got this email from Joel Comm regarding this project and I asked myself would it work? I visited the site 500words.com just now and it was sold out. In fact he started another one at 499sites.com

Regarding its SEO benefits, I don't think one link out of the 500 will get you much PR juice. You can however benefit from the people visiting the site and finding out what kind of sites are behind those links. The traffic, I suspect, would die down in a couple of months.
