Link Baiting: a Key to Building Traffic

Link Baiting: if you want to build traffic, it's an essential skill.

SubmitEdge published a list of tips this week for attracting links. It's one of the better such lists I've come across. Tip number one? The "useful gadget" baiting strategy:
If you offer a useful tool or gadget on your site, others will link to you to share the good news about your nifty invention. If you have a version with a widget so they can just add the button to their site, you can include a link so you get one automatically.
There's a total of 10 such tips. My favorite? Rants! People love controversy. If you rant about something people are interested in, they'll link to your site.

Nothing like a good rant...
