As off-page optimization represents a big chunk of google's criteria for ranking, it is nice to know what are the types of link strategies are available to increase link popularity.

I've found an article about link popularity and some discussion about the 2 different links (natural linking and artificial linking), plus some of the black hat linking strategies that other people are using.

Note however that we do not encourage black hat strategies but it is nice addition to your SEO knowledge.
