Microsoft's Ballmer Boasts of Search Engine Progress
Microsoft Chief Executive Steve Ballmer boasted about their progress in stepping up its campaign against top search engine Google and Yahoo.

Two years ago he acknowledge the fact that Microsoft was falling behind in search engine technology as they haven't developed their own search engine and an advertising platform to come with it.

Today Google has been ripping it up when it comes to search engine usage and advertising (google Adwords) followed by Yahoo and its Yahoo Publisher Network which is still in beta.

Ballmer said that Microsoft is dedicated in building its search engine position and believes that the search engine industry is just starting. Moreover, according to Christopher Payne corporate vice president in charge of Windows Live search, "I think we'll look back on this as the DOS era of search".
