No To Spam!
Before, the word spam is only linked to a product which is usually eaten for breakfast. Today, the word has expanded its connotation to include junk or unwanted e-mails, sms, and blogs to name but a few. Spamming is detested. As a fact, it has been subject of several legislations in various states.

As said, the most used form of spamming is E-mail spam. How do you put a stop to this?

Stopping spam takes a conscious initiative. E-mail addresses have to be protected by the user at all costs. This is to avoid further internet hazards. Users must also keep their e-mail addresses private to preclude others from uncalled-for encroachment. Whether the e-mail address be a work or personal one, be sure to use it in accordance with its purpose - never beyond it.

To keep spam away, spam blockers and spam filters are used. How do they differ?

Spam blockers detect and stop spam using an assigned blacklist of spammers e-mail addresses or ISP. The disadvantage of these tools is that spammers often change their e-mail addresses. Spam filters, on the other hand, detect and stop spam that carries particular keywords before reaching recipients. The drawback though is that it may potentially block other useful e-mails.
