Page Strength a new metric for web page

There's a newly developed SEO tool from SEOmoz, developed by Rand Fishkin and Matt Inman. They called it Page Strength. It is different from Page Rank.
Page Strength doesn't influence your search rankings. But it provides a snapshot of what your general coverage in terms of visibility, connectivity, and overall Web Presence seems to be.
It is more of a tool that would allow you to set a benchmark for your web page. If a webpage increased its page strength compared to last month, then it is a measure that you've done some very good off page optimization.
If a page rose suddenly from Page Strength 2 to Page Strength 5, you would probably want to ask what the webmaster did because such a jump in page strength will eventually translate to a higher PageRank and higher search engine ranking.
The tool is at http://www.seomoz.org/tools/page-strength.php

Thanks a lot for this great tool. My blog is just less than 4 months old and I found that its page strength is 4.5. I guess it is good enough.

page strength of 4.5 is big considering it is just 4 months old. That’s the power of blog networks. We have links from the rest of the blogs in the network.
but of course, links from other blogs would be better since they are from other servers and ip addresses.

We really rate this tool, although our page strength is ostensibly less than our Google PR, we think it probably offers a more ‘balanced’ assessment of the sites worth and of course it keeps us on our toes.
