As far as I new, is not the number of pages linking to you but the rank of those pages. So, if you post your url in a thousands looser's bloggers it won't help you either. If you have 100 sites just of the purpose of giving PR to a particular a site, same applies, you must have 100 popular, rich content, heavy visited sites to make that trick.
