This is a hotly contested claim in search engine optimization circles. Does keyword stuffing, however decently, Affect the ranking of WebPages for that specific keyword? In this article, Olivier Duffez talks about an experiment he set up that led him to conclude that including keywords in URLs is a sound search engine optimization technique.
Interesting read, but I am not convinced. Sure, the URL was parsed, but that does not show that it would affect ranking. Further, even if there is an effect, I am sure it is negligible. Focus on more solid search engine optimization techniques like link building for instance. Have a good one.

Whether the effect is significant or negligible, it's probably better to spend the small amount of extra time doing it than to not bother. After all, an algorithm change could increase their importance at any time.

It is one thing to use keywords. It is another to overkill keywords. That is the difference between white hat abd black hat SEO.
