Using Search Engines
by noel on March 27, 2007

It is the search engines that drive more prospective customers to your website. When a subject matter is typed for search, search engines sift through the millions of the indexed web pages. The matches found are also ranked according to algorithms.
According to studies, most users only look at the first page of the search engine results. Hence, it won't matter if your website appears in the ranking if it is not found in the first few pages of the SERPs.
It is the keywords that improve search engine rank. Surveys say that when customers want to find a website for information or to buy a product or service, they find their site in one of the following ways: First, they find their site through a search engine. Or they find their site by clicking on a link from another website or page that relates to the topic in which they are interested. Rarely, they find a site by hearing about it from a friend or reading in an article. From the results, it can be gleaned that the most famed way of finding a website is through search engines. As a fact, it represents over 90 percent of online users.
In doing search engine optimization services, consider search engine algorithms. They vary from one search engine to the other. But they give weight to link population and other SEO-related factors.
