Doing Search Engine Optimization is like going to war. The battle for rankings is never been tougher. If you will be doing some serious SEO work, you need to have some tools in your SEO arsenal.
Chances are, you already have a list of tools in your SEO war chest. Well, here are some of the tools I personally use for search engine optimization and search engine marketing.
We will be doing a series on SEO arsenal so I suggest you add our RSS feed to your feed reader.
So let's start off with keyword Research Tools
Keyword Research
Tool:Good Keywords

Here's a very good free software that you can use to find those valuable keywords. I've been using this software for more than a year and all I can say is that this tool is one of the most valuable tool in my SEO war chest.
SEO is just like war. Winning a war involves knowing which target to neutralize. Winning in the internet arena starts with knowing which keywords to target. Failing to determine which keywords to target will result in fewer search engine visitors to your websites.
Tool: Overture Keywords

You can also use online tools such as the Overture keyword tool if you are doing keyword research online. You can use this tool to check your PR (or your competitor's PR) on different google datacenters.
Tool: Google Suggest
URL: http://www.google.com/webhp?complete=1
This is a very neat keyword research tool. Try typing in a keyword and google presents you with keyword suggestions together with the number of search results associated with each suggested keyword or key phrase.
Tool: Digitalpoint keyword suggestion tool

If you want free keywords from Wordtracker, here's a nice tool to use. Just pop in a keyword and it lists keyword suggestions from both wordtracker and overture side by side.
Wanna target high paying keywords? Try keying in "insurance" and create content out of those keywords.
