aSmallWorld.net, an invitation only social network, has increased from about 500 members to about 150,000 registered users. Users are mostly 32 years of age on average. Many of them have earned degrees and are enjoying a luxurious living. According to the site's data, 65% of the members are from Europe, 20% from the United States and the rest scattered around the globe.
How rich are they? Just measure the wealth by a member's statement: "I need to rent 20 very luxury sports cars for an event in Switzerland on the 6th September. The cars should be: Maserati - Ferrari - Lamborghini - Aston Martin ONLY!" - Now you have the idea of how affluent the members are.
To serve as a close competition, Milton Pedraza of the Luxury Institute, a New York research group, intends to launch Luxury Ratings.com. The latter is an ad-free online community.
Again the question: How rich are the members? Well, members will just pay a meager amount of $250 as annual subscribers' fee. How would you like to join the community?
