Spam is here to stay

Spam has found a fertile dwelling and it is here to stay. Why? This is because eliminating spam is next to impossible. There are persons who receive 50 emails every day and they consider it part of their daily life. The fact is businesses – whether big or small – have a strong motivation to send bulk email. This is because compared to regular mails or hiring telemarketers, said method costs nothing.
Basically, spamming is the misuse and abuse of electronic messaging systems. It comes in different forms – E-mail spam, Usenet newsgroup spam, electronic messaging systems, Web search engine spam (Spamdexing), mobile phone messaging spam (SpaSMS), and spam in blogs.
The most common form of internet spamming is e-mail spam. It involves sending numerous commercial messages to several recipients. These e-mails are usually sent without permission from the recipients. Sometimes they contain tricks to evade anti-spam solutions. The most-popular e-mail spamming technique is called harvesting, which is now a legal predicament. It searches through websites listed on search engines for a particular keyword then, it scans for e-mail addresses. Finally, the data is emailed to the harvester. Through the harvesting technique, it is easy to yield thousands of e-mail addresses in just an hour.
