The Friendly Way of Designing Websites
A friendly website does not only attract great web traffic but improved search engine rankings as well. Hence, an e-commerce webmaster must see to it that his site has what it takes to be a 'friendly website'. Simply, it is just making your website appear warm, cozy, informative, and functional.

Optimized web design and development is all about being friendly to both the visitors and the search engines. You need not hire the services of a professional web design company to know the do's and don'ts in web design, you just have to learn some vital things about it. In fact, if you have a background in web design, you can create a friendly website all by yourself.

To hone your web designer potentials, here are some of the effective ways:

1. Keep the website simple and easy to navigate.
2. Avoid using large images because they slow down the loading time. Remember that visitor hate to wait.
3. Use text links in each of your web pages so that spiders and bots will easily find your site.
4. Avoid using cookies on your web pages. This is because it will delay the access pattern of bots.
5. Do not put frames on your website.
6. Never be too dependent on Flash.
7. Do not create doorway pages/gateway pages.
