The truth is that - promoting is just the initial step in affiliate marketing. Visitors are just potential customers - they are not sure purchasers. Hence, you have to nurture a relationship to make them purchase or subscribe. This misconception has plagued the majority of affiliate marketers. Remember that there is a stiff competition in the online realm. You are not the only one who wants to convince them to do the same thing. Be sure to take advantage of your potentials to make them succumb.
The greatest mistake of affiliate marketers is sending the visitor directly to the merchant's page. By doing this, you are in a way, giving up the goal of motivating them. Think again.
Most people do not usually buy on their first visit. In fact, they shift from one site to the other to compare the quality, price and more. If you do not have the passion for it, you will not succeed in the business.
Moreover, to make affiliate marketing a success, you have to remember 4 essential things - yield good traffic, convince the visitors, do some follow ups and presell. Then, you are back on the right track.
