Types of Content: Approaches to Creating Content that Can Drive Your Rankings
Filed in archive SEO Tips by Greg Cruey on April 30, 2009
How do you find time to create content? People ask that question like you could have a web page void of content and expect it to do well in most search engines.

Jeff Quipp had a piece last month that's been sitting on my back burner. It's about strategies for content creation. He makes the point that there are a number of types of content out there.

I'm wired wrong. I guess it's because I old and a digital immigrant. But I tend to think first about writing something and puting it into a web format. yet, obviously, the most popular content on the web comes in video, audio, or image formats.

If a picture can say a 1000 words, then its also possible for images to generate 1000 visitors or links. We've seen many client sites, who's images drive 20%+ of their overall website traffic volumes.
Quipp mentioned 12 different types of content (included some created by users) that can potentially draw visitors to your site. Some of them I hadn't thought about recently myself. Take a look at the piece and see if one of them isn't useful for your site.
