Untying Link Building Facts and Myths
Stick with facts and debunk myths. Those are the things that search engine optimization experts must do. Nonetheless, for amateurs in the field of link building, they have to be warned so as not to be deceived and eventually be misled into believing false notions about SEO.

Myth 1: DMOZ links belong to the strongest of links.
This is not so because DMOZ links do not carry extra weight.

Myth 2: Reciprocal linking is discounted.
This is not applicable at all times. This is because search engine experts are expected to use several linking strategies. No sane SEO specialist would stick to a sole linking strategy for that will be too risky to the website. Reciprocal linking takes time. Also, one has to know if relevant return links are forthcoming.

Myth 3: Non-reciprocal outbound links are no good.
Search engines look at how websites link in and link out. Moreover, overwhelming incoming links and outbound links can be viewed pessimistically. This is because relevancy can be sacrificed for the sake of having links.

Remember that link quality is superior to link Quantity. Hence, use fresh and relevant contents, good anchor texts and improve your viral marketing campaign.
