What’s Black from What’s Not?

What's Black from What's Not?

If you are an amateur in SEO and your want your website to be the next big thing on the web, consider learning the basics of the battlefield. You might probably ask – where should I start?

Perhaps by now, you have heard of page rank. You might have read it online or someone has explained it to you. To start, page rank is pretty much essential for your site to be noticed and eventually become successful on the World Wide Web realm. To yield better SERPs, you have to distinguish what's black from what's not? – They are also called "search engine optimization hats."

Why is the distinction important? This is because you have to know what's right from what's wrong to establish the 'best practice' that you can cling to. If not, you will be lost in the unfathomable abyss of SEO where no one will dare visit you.

Black hat means bad and unsafe SEO practice. It may work at one time but there is no certainty in it. Sadly, it is often resorted to by the big names in the SEO industry. Unfortunately, there are cases when they are badly punished by search engines. Sometimes, search engines lower their page rank or worst – websites are blocked from SERPs.

The common denominator is – learn the basics of SEO but trust only those who are trustworthy.
