Why You Need Good Inbound Links
Everyone knows that good, original content is one of the biggest keys to getting your site good organic traffic. But a content-rich site is only half the battle. Nothing beats a good PR6 or PR 7 site linking to you like you are da bomb! Every site that points to your site is like a vote or thumb-up for your site.
The search engines love to see a bunch of different sites linking to the same site, it gives that site a sense of "authority". Now, that's very easily said, but much harder to pull-off. If you have a decent size budget you can go out there and procure yourself some very good links. But be extremely wary of the sites you buy links from. Quality sites are always preferable and ask the webmaster if you can have a "run-of-site" text link campaign. This way you link will appear on every page of their site and it will be more powerful for your site.
Try to maintain a few or a bunch of sites that you can offer links from to trade. But don't make it a practice to exchange text link, one-way links are always best. Not saying you can never link back to a site linking to you, but don't make it a practice. Blogs are really great to have because you can add pages to them easily and your pages don't have to be more than a couple of sentence to be effective at ranking. Title you blog entries or webpages about the various search phrases you are targeting.
