Yahoo Dance
Yahoo just announced an index update at its yahoo blog.

We rolled out an index update last night. As usual, you may see some changes in ranking as well as some shuffling of the pages that are included in the index. Those who follow these weather updates may have noticed that they are occurring more frequently; this is the result of improvements to the indexing system.

Is this the start of " Yahoo Dance " ? Well, some SEOs say it is.

Since Google snatched the top position of the most preferred search engine, the others are finding ways to catch up. Aside from improving MSN, Microsoft has been busy with Live.com while Yahoo is busy with its own search engine improvements (aka yahoo dance).

It has been proven that Google made tons of money from sponsored search and Yahoo has been busy with Yahoo Publisher Network beta. With the PPC industry growing, more and more effort are being done on getting a bigger portion of the search engine marketplace.

As we all know, the more users of Yahoo search, the more income can be derived from pay per click ads. With this, we can expect more of these Yahoo dance this 2006 which is aimed to get better and more relevant search results.
