Yahoo purchased Meedio
Meedio is a company that creates home automation software that runs on TV, PDAs, PCs and touchscreens. Yahoo has recently purchased Meedio and the official announcement is out in MeeYahoo has purchased Meedio's home page. They will be joining Yahoo's Digital Home team and will be developing the best and most user friendly serviced for the digital home.
The main software of Meedio is Meedio Pro which enables you to turn your PC into a media center where you can organize and access your digital media using your TV and remote control.
The other Meedio software is called Meedio Housebot and it is a home automation server that allows you to control and monitor lights, audio and video equipment, as well as appliances.
Yahoo is getting more and more into our houses instead of just the PC. With digital home http://digitalhome.yahoo.com Yahoo will be trying to get a share of the Audio and Video industry as well.
